Arriving in Danang


Da Nang
Today our journey took us to a new city, Da Nang.  Each generation reading this blog probably has a different image when they hear this city's name.  For our parents, Da Nang was an important military base and the rest and relaxation area for American soldiers.  Our generation immediately thinks of this guy from South Park.

Da Nang today is a growing beach resort.  I am amazed at the amount of construction currently being done.  From our room's balcony, I can see at least 4 new hotels being built.  The white sand beach is beautiful and the breeze definitely reduces the heat.
