What's a Cebu you ask? Well, for the uninitiated (those who have never seen the Veggie Tales Silly Song of the Cebu, it is a like a water buffalo.
And this morning, we got the opportunity to meet and RIDE a water buffalo!!! His name was Lick and he was (thankfully) quite tame! We all got the opportunity to climb on top of Lick's back and take some pictures. Next, we were taken down to the river by the expert buffalo driver and we proceeded to splash around a few minutes before walking back to the starting point. The ride was a lot smoother than what I had expected it would be. Thankfully!!
All three of us had slightly different reactions to riding the buffalo. This writer (Janie) was SCARED- sure I would end up in the very muddy water! Michael was very easy going and I think he actually enjoyed the ride. And Iyla was kind of in-between... nervous for her ride on the buffalo's back. Happy to report we all made it and no one ended up in the water!
We enjoyed our time with the water buffalo!!

You guys are so much braver than me! Michael, you look downright comfortable!
ReplyDeleteThat water buffalo looked scary...and maybe annoyed that the rein/rope went through his snout- ouch!
Impressed that no one went into the water...when they did this challenge on “Amazing Race”, many contestants weren’t as lucky...good boy, Lick!
Love you guys 💗 Mom/Nana Lori
Iyla and I were nervous we would fall off. Thankfully, the guide was there to hold on to and keep us from falling off. It was such a once-in-a lifetime kind of thing I just thought we should try it!!! Sending our love!!
ReplyDeleteThat looked like fun!!
